Sadly, I didn't get to take too many photos last night. You know you've had a great night when it all ends with some Chinese food... So bad but so goooood!

You can check out the 2012 Tatt Awards Facebook page for more photos from the event :)

& many thanks to Niche for taking these photos!

WHO rocks your online world?

Tattoo, the #1 broadband in the Philippines continues this year with its trailblazing recognition of social media celebrities and influencers with the prestigious Tatt Awards, the first-ever awards platform for online personalities who have inspired, led, influenced and sparked changes in the world in a positive way.

The first-ever Tatt awards held last year gathered and shone the limelight on technophiles, video vamps and passionate advocates of change:

Young celebrity stylist Laureen Uy  bagged last year’s Stylisimo Award for her fresh take on fashion, her very successful online store, Stylebreak and her religiously followed fashion blog, Break My Style.;   `Professional heckler’  Loi Reyes Landicho received the Word Slayer award; TV host-columnist Bianca Gonzales was voted by her followers as the #1 Thoughtmover; Mikey Bustos for the Video Slinger award; Up Dharma Down, for Indie Rocker; Marc Macanas for Tech Junkie and the Philippines’ pride, Lea Salonga, for the Ball Breaker award.

“This year’s Tatt awards will honor a new batch of digital rockers,” explains Dong Ronquillo, head of the Tattoo Nomadic Broadband Business. “What sets Tatt awards from other web-centric awards is that we look beyond mere statistics and acknowledge individuals who have expressed an opinion, created inspiring works or ignited social change. This is not a mere popularity contest but a recognition of people who used the social media space to share what they are most passionate about and, in the process, created positive influence and stirred action among people,” he adds.

Tatt Awards 2012 also proudly reveals its new Tatt Council, a group of celebrated online thought-leaders led by Ronquillo, that will collectively serve as judges to determine the winners in the different categories.

The Council members include award-winning journalist and ABS-CBN News & Public Affairs social media pioneer Maria Ressa; Filipino singer, comedian, and YouTube sensation Mikey Bustos; TV Personality-columnist and style guru Tim Yap; former music director for the rock station NU107.5 FM and musician Francis Brew; Multi-awarded humor blogger and one of Tatt Awards 2011 winners, The Professional Heckler, Loi Landicho; one of the most sought-after corporate, fashion and advertising photographers in the Philippines, Wig Tysmans; TV Host, Editor, Columnist, Endorser and Actor Raymond Gutierrez; model, host, magazine editor and sports enthusiast Rovilson Fernandez; Commissioner to the National Youth Commission and Outstanding student leader Gio Tingson; and Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP) Vice President Pao Peña.

“The Tatt Awards is our venue for recognizing digital rockers who, through passion and individuality, have created a space that is uniquely theirs, but sincerely shared with others.”

Support your favorite online rock stars who rocked the social media stage as Tattoo opens the curtain once again to give them their well-deserved Tatt awards.

Stay glued to www.tattawards.com for the official start of nominations.

Live without limits.  Rock on with Tattoo!

Bachelors-Femina charity ball + Cebu

I was invited to participate in the Bachelors-Femina Innocence Day Ball at the Casino Español de Cebu last December 28. Bachelors-Femina is a socio-civic club for unmarried members of the “crème de la crème” of Cebu Society. The girls and I modeled creations made by famous Cebuano designers and we also had to perform the Rigodon de Honor. The event was for the benefit of the Hands of Mercy and Asilo De La Milagrosa. It was definitely loads of fun and it was great seeing my friends dressed to the nines in traditional Filipino attire! Thank you so much to Dexter Alazas for letting me wear your creation!

The DAS sisters got me to shoot their entire collection since they're launching their new official webpage soon... We decided to take a couple of fun portraits right after. Issa dropped by as well, and we were all chatting away during the shoot. It's always so much fun when these girls are around!

I tweeted the night before that I needed someone to help me with the lighting. This was the first time I had to set up lights by myself and I had no other choice but to resort to.... YouTube tutorials. Thankfully I just had to do the most basic set-up and I could remember a couple of things from previous shoots with other photographers. I guess it was really time for me to do it on my own.
Internet, I love you.

Smart Netphone events

Smart Netphone media launch (Sept. 1)

Grabbed this photo from Tracy...
Surprise- I didn't use my camera during the media launch! I'll be posting a review of the phone in another post. It's a really cool Android phone for its price (Php 9,900).

Thank you to Smart and Connect Agency! Add me on Smart Net Messenger, friends!

Smart Netphone Grand Launch (Sept. 10)

I didn't know that I was getting 10 invites for this event! I sorta panicked by Friday since none of my friends seemed interested. I could've done a blog contest but I knew I didn't have time to do that anymore. I managed to force some of my friends to come with me on the day itself... Yay!

Earlier that night there was a program that involved a dougie dance-off. They also threw out new 20-peso bills and free phones to the crowd!

Wore this dress from Topshop that I gave to Issa 2 years ago because it was too long for me and I couldn't fill out the... front. Haha. I still don't like the way it makes me look flat as a board but I had no choice, I really had NOTHING to wear and had to raid her closet! LOL.

Both events were super FUN! So glad that I got to see my friends and take a breather from school + the construction site. It was also nice that I got to meet some girls who read this blog/listen to our music. :)
