Website to Love: Rocksbox (1st month free code!)

Jenny Bird Illumina bib necklace, Wanderlust + Co Ziggy silver ring and Urban Gem Pave Disc bracelet

Last month the lovely team at Rocksbox sent me my first box!

Rocksbox is a fun new subscription service that sends you designer accessories each month for a fee. You have the option to buy or return each piece and the prices are always marked down for members.  Obviously you don't get charged more than your membership fee if you decide to return all of them.

I chose to keep the Wanderlust + Co Ziggy silver ring this month since I fell in love with it and even my photos can't do it justice!

They also gave me a code for all my readers- just type in raleenexoxo at checkout to receive your FIRST MONTH FREE! Sadly this is only for all my US-based ladies for now, so please help me spread the word to your friends if you think they'll love it, too!

Can't wait to show you guys my next set!

accessories - Stockton Row, dress - NAVA, bracelets- Tiffany & Co., heels- Aldo

Just last night I had this outfit on as I walked into the emergency room at St. Luke's Hospital after having my palm cut open thanks to some exposed steel on the cab's door. Had to get 2 tetanus shots plus I got my palm stitched up since I can't handle going through any infections before flying out of the country! I told them the pain was about 1/10, but seeing your insides through a clean cut is a bit alarming. Walking in the ER with my noisy heels and a fist full of blood wasn't exactly how I planned my Saturday night to be after watching my sister's gig, but it was extremely hilarious. Good thing I brought along a jacket, my height and skimpy dress was already a bit too loud for a sad, quiet place like a hospital. I don't know why I suffer from injuries out of the lamest situations- I once broke my ankle after standing up too quickly right when I woke up from a nap... Pain crept in once my feet "woke up" and I had to wear a cast for 2 months. Okay, maybe getting injured in the city is a lot better than getting into an accident somewhere far from civilisation so I'm going to stop complaining...

Stockton Row recently gifted me with these accessories from their first collection, and I am absolutely in love with their line because it is of equal parts delicate and androgynous, drawing inspiration from travel and free-spiritedness... SO ME! They're the perfect addition to any simple outfit since they're not too overpowering. It's the little details that keep it interesting, especially for an achromatic dresser like me.

Check out Stockton Row on InstagramFacebook and their official website. If you'd like to see the items up close, they're available in Seek the Uniq and at Cura V in Rockwell.

TRAGEDY OF THE YEAR

I lost one earring and was so careless last night! I also lost my favorite ear cuff + chain earring along with it, so someone must have hit my ear without me noticing. It's just horrible. I spent one whole morning looking for it but N A D A. I'm quite depressed right now and it's annoying how a small thing can cause this. Dear self, it's your fault and you are not supposed to be materialistic!

Now if any of you can point me to a place where I can find the exact same earring, please tell me!!! This was a grad gift from mum. So much for only wearing these on special occasions... I've worn these in the most sketchy places and they just had to disappear in Prive, on that ONE night I decided to go clubbing again!

PLAIN WHITE

My dad gave me my first floppy hat! ♡

Thanks so much to World Balance for these white Vivacious cross-training shoes. Great for casual looks and for doing T25! Abusing these babies soon & will be posting some looks

My white obsession is more literal compared to the girls fussing over lightening their complexions. Now that I've slightly achieved the morena look I've always preferred, I've been enjoying contrasting the tan with everything blanc. Clean and casual or crisp and formal- other than black this is the only color (or in the correct definition, the presence of all wavelengths of visible light) I feel comfortable in. Not the most ideal thing to sport in this city and the fabrics can be tricky to maintain, but I think the ones who can rock this clean color are the ones who carry themselves well. I also can't explain why, but I only fall for guys when I finally see them in plain white v-necks or button-downs. Slightly messed-up but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with how easygoing and approachable someone looks when wearing white. It must be all the light reflecting and giving you that glow [physics, whatever]...

AVICII in Manila- Remastering Cool with Ray-Ban

Had to sneak in my Olympus cammy to the concert & getting retweeted by Avicii twice made it worth it! Still getting tons of notifications of people retweeting my photos. Craaaaazy.

So glad I got the chance to watch Avicii at the MOA Arena last night! I was sick the first time he came to Manila so I had to back out from the event even if I was already dressed & made up.

I can't even explain how amazing the sound & visuals were, my photos don't do 'em justice! I was staring the whole time & dancing. I spent the whole day sourcing in heels so my feet were dead tired, but that didn't stop me from enjoying (take note- zero alcohol!). The big surprise for me was when he dropped some Notorious B.I.G.- the whole arena went wild!!! I still can't believe how he's only my age!

Such a FUN night, thank you so much to Ray-Ban Philippines for the tickets and for hosting my blog giveaway!

I may not have worn Ray-Bans during the concert, but I wore my clubmasters to work that day...

And yes, I had them changed into prescription lenses. I really love these frames!

Also wearing a Neil Felipp skull/shogun choker

Riz, Joe, Robin and I drove to Tagaytay at 3AM to catch the sun rise this morning. We had to ensure there were a lot of laughs along the way so that everyone was awake while braving the badly-lit roads. We were also able to get a bit of energy from the 7-Eleven coffee vending machine + the tapsilog joint across the road where the Starbucks in Tagaytay was located. Funny how the first thing we all had to accomplish while the sun was slowly rising was to have our fill of iPhone snapshots for Instagram! We hurriedly set-up our gear since the purpose of this trip was for Rob to record a video for someone's birthday. We had a bunch of instruments, cameras and tripods with us. Riz, Joe and I recorded our own covers as well, but I didn't really like the song we picked. I'm not sure if it's going to be posted- I'm convincing my sister to record another song for us since we didn't get to practice for it.

It turned out to be a perfect day to whip out a pair of reliable Ray-Bans and 'twas windy enough to wear my new studded cardigan from Zara. A bit oversized, it makes one look a bit top-heavy but I am in love with its silk, blanket-feel lining. It looks a lot like my coat from Spanish Moss Vintage but I purchased it anyway since I wanted one with silver studs + it's a lot lighter.  My boots are from Charles & Keith and I've been abusing them since my trip to China. The 2" heel adds just enough height and they're even more comfortable than most of my ballet flats because of the soft insoles. You'd think I'd get sick of wearing [black] boots to work and on gigs, but I feel as though I have to add to my collection just because I know they're always reliable and they can transform any plain outfit into a more edgy one (at least in my POV).

I'm a bit dizzy from the trip and I haven't gotten any sleep since yesterday (hence the badly written entry) but I couldn't wait to blog this morning since I was too excited to announce that I'm giving away  brand new Ray-Ban sunnies!

Here's how you can win this pair:
